I always start with a wreath. One of my favorite decor items to change out each season is the wreath on our front door. It's a quick way to add a touch of each season to your home. This is one of my favorite wreaths that we have had because I love the coral color I found and encorporated. I have received so many compliments on this wreath, but it is seriously so simple! I just paint the letter, cut the flowers from their stem, make the bow using this tutorial, and hot glue it all on a vine wreath. See, super easy!
The next thing was arranging some items I found at Michael's and TJ Maxx. Everything except the lantern is from Michael's. The lantern was on clearance at TJ Maxx. I used a chalkboard marker to write on the white crate. I cannot work with regular chalk at all if I want my handwriting to look half decent. I would like to find a fake candle to put in the lantern, as well as something to go in the bottom of crate that is turned horizontally.
The next thing involved some help from my talented hubs. He is so good about taking a project I find and making it happen. This project took some teamwork, and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I used this tutorial from Shabby Chic for the welcome sign stand and this tutorial for painting the sign.
I was very happy with the way our front porch turned out! I love the bright touch it gives our entryway.
Happy Spring! Enjoy your weekend and if you're in my part of the country, this beautiful weather!
