Since I've last blogged, some things in my life have changed a lot! After thinking about it for weeks, I decided to finally take action and change my eating and exercising lifestyle. I discovered Tone It Up! and this program has seriously changed the way I look at my health and fitness. I am in my eleventh week of working out every day and eating mostly clean foods. I do treat myself every now and then, but I am seeing results, so I am very happy with it!
Seven weeks ago, they began an eight week Bikini Series. They challenge you to complete a workout every day, usually made up of about 30 minutes of cardio and then a couple toning videos that they have available for free on YouTube. In addition to that, they encourage you to eat lean, clean and green. I was able to read through some of their Nutrition Plan, because I have a friend that purchased it. Mostly, I have just stuck to the lean, clean and green idea and it has changed the way I feel so much. I feel more healthy and in shape than I have ever been. I'm not sporting a six-pack quite yet, but I know if I keep working hard, I will. This program is so awesome and the best thing is that I have completed everything without having to purchase a gym membership and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything! If it's raining, I can do a HIIT workout indoors and still get in my cardio for the day!
This is the first time in my life I can't picture myself not doing some sort of workout every day. One of my favorite parts of this Bikini Series has been the #150bysummer challenge. They challenged you to complete 100 or 150 miles of cardio in 8 weeks. I have about 27 miles left to do in ten days, which is perfect, since I run at least 3 miles a day. They encourage you to complete your "miles" in different ways like biking, swimming, HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts, etc. Most of mine have been completed by running because it is the most convenient, but some have been completed by doing HIIT workouts and one day of biking. I have really come to love running and I actually don't feel like I am going to die the entire time like I used to. That's a plus! I'm so excited to see more results and I'm really working on finishing these last two weeks of the Bikini Series strong.
Summer is in full swing and I have made a goal to try and do something outdoors every weekend. I don't want my favorite season to pass me by while I'm catching up on my DVR and scrolling through social media. So far, it's went well. We went on vacation for our anniversary to the beach, so when it wasn't raining, we spent our time outdoors. My favorite day was the day we rented bikes and rode all over the place. We ended up riding a total of 12 miles! I had such a sore booty the day after from that tiny seat! The next weekend I spent some time outside at my parents pool. The following weekend, we went fishing in the Gulf with Jake's family. This past weekend, Jake and I went to the springs for the first time. It's definitely not like going to the beach where you have that constant breeze to cool you off, but since it's closer, it'll have to do! I have a few more things I'd like to do this summer, but that can be saved for another post.
I hope you are enjoying your summer so far! Thanks for reading!
