16 Weeks and Gender Reveal Party!

We had our gender reveal party this Saturday! It was a great time spent with some of our family and friends!

Baby M is a GIRL! It still hasn't sunk in. I think it will at our next ultrasound when we actually get to see.

Team Pink - the winners!

Now onto the weekly update!

16 Weeks:

Maternity clothes: Some maternity pants and still regular shirts.

Sleep: Normal sleeping. I've always been a napper, so I'm a fan of naps when I can get them in.

Medication: No meds except occasional Tylenol for headaches.

Gender: GIRL! Well, the doc was 85% sure. Jake says he is still holding on to the 15% chance that it could be a boy! Ha! He is just kidding, though, and is super excited no matter whether it's a girl or boy. Like I said, it still doesn't seem real. I haven't had the urge to go buy a ton of pink stuff. I am really hoping once we are able to see everything on the ultrasound, it'll actually make us believers. :)

Food cravings: No food cravings, really.

Food aversions: Not many food aversions. The thought of Cedar River still makes me queasy. I hated even typing out the name of that restaurant. :(

Mood: Good moods!

Movement: Still not feeling any movement yet.

Milestones: Found out that the baby is a girl!

Best moments of the week: Gender Reveal party, for sure! Not only did we find out what the baby will be, but it was so much fun having our family in town and having some of our friends over.

Jake quotes: When we popped the balloon and the confetti was pink, I did a little jumping/dance thing and Jake just smiled and nodded his head like "What in the world have I gotten myself into?!". After a couple minutes, he said "I was going to do that same little dance if it was a boy!"

I seriously have to start writing down things Jake says. He really is a funny guy and makes me laugh a lot.

Verses I've been dwelling on: "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." -Isaiah 26:3
