18 Weeks

18 Weeks:

Maternity clothes: Some maternity pants, still all regular shirts.

Sleep: Sleeping great!

Medication: No meds at all.

Gender: GIRL! We will get to see for sure on Wednesday. Doctor was 85% sure at our last appointment.

Food cravings: No cravings. Really digging hot dogs right now.

Food aversions: No aversions...thank goodness! Mama likes to eat too much to be worrying with that!

Mood: Good moods! Pretty tired since it's VBS week, but that's expected.

Movement: Is "I don't know" an appropriate answer? I feel things going on in there, but I can't tell if my stomach is just being crazy. So ready to be able to feel the baby and know it's the baby in there! Hopefully soon!

Milestones: I'm feeling like the belly is sticking out a little more this week. Hopefully, it's looking more like a baby in there and not that I'm gaining a lot in one area.

Best moments of the week: My friend Tristan's daughter, Camryn keeps asking when Carsen is coming to see her. I love that she's excited already. She was even "texting Carsen" the other day. And most of the time when I see her, she asks where Carsen is and tries to pull up my shirt to see her. :) So sweet! Love me some Cam!

Things I'm looking forward to: Feeling the baby kick and knowing 100% that it's the baby and finding out for sure if it's a girl. I guess you're never 100% sure of the gender, but seeing it will make me more of a believer!

Things I'm praying about: Continued health for our baby and childcare options.

Quotes: My sister was on her way to my house to stay the week for VBS and told mom to ask me if I was fat yet. That's an interesting way to ask if I am showing yet, I guess? Ha! Been feeling fat for a while, so I guess the answer is "yes."

Jake Quotes: I finally have a Jake quote that I LOVED, so I have to share it! The other morning, Jake was about to pray with me before he left for work like he does every morning and he was talking to the baby and he looked at me and said "Well, you're my favorite baby, but this one can be my next favorite." We have discussed plenty of times how we will continue to put each other before the baby, which is the way we believe it should be. I think seeing each other in our respective parental roles is just going to make us fall in love with each other all over again. I know it will be work to set time aside for ourselves, but I feel confident that we can do it with so many people already ready to love all over our baby. I think they'll be okay with babysitting for date night. ;)

Verses I've been dwelling on: I saw this verse on a blog and loved the Message version of it. This baby is such a blessing after some hard times. Many people don't realize what a huge blessing it is to be able to carry a baby full term and have a healthy delivery. I feel like He has a great plan for each of us that will bless us more than we can ever imagine. "God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever guess or imagine in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us." -Ephesians 3:20
