Maternity clothes: This baby bump got too real too fast. It's pretty much all maternity clothes all the time now!
Sleep: The tossing and turning has begun! I am a back sleeper and you're not supposed to sleep like that after the second trimester begins. So it's a cycle of waking up on my back and turning back on my side.
Medication: No meds!
Food cravings: Hot sandwiches, Chick Fil A chicken sandwiches, Bready things. Why can't I crave broccoli, celery and other things with minimal calories?!
Food aversions: No aversions. Just how I like it.
Mood: Pretty good moods!
Movement: Tons of movement. I feel her, I can see her moving my belly, Jake can feel her kicking and moving around when he puts his hand on my belly. At our appointment on Monday, she kicked or hit the little heartbeat monitor. Cutest little kick/hit ever. ;)
Milestones: Her room is cleared out and the crib mattress is in...still waiting on the crib to come in.
Best moments of the week: A lot of people are noticing my baby bump now, so I'm assuming that means I'm out of the "looking like I ate a big lunch" stage? Woo-hoo! Although, most days, it probably is true that I ate a big lunch. Lunch is my favorite meal of the day!
Things I'm looking forward to: The crib to come in, so I can see the color and decide on decorations for the nursery. The color of the crib is called "vintage gray espresso" and different pictures show the color differently, so it's pretty much going to be a surprise when it comes in.
Things I'm praying about: That she will have a spot in our first daycare of choice. As always, continued health for both of us.
Verse I've been dwelling on: "Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." -Psalm 25:4-5
It's our job to pray about the path that God wants us to take, but ultimately, it's about trusting him no matter what and putting all of our hope in Him. No matter what He has for our life, His plan is best.
