27 Weeks

27 Weeks:

Maternity clothes: Now I'm thinking...I hope these maternity clothes will fit until the end of this pregnancy!

Sleep: Well, we have had some A/C problems, so Jake and I had some night of sleeping on a mattress on the floor in the living room since it's the coolest room in our house. Like a nice little indoor camping trip. Only I'm pregnant and it's hot. So sleep could be a little better, but it's okay.

Gender: Girl

Food cravings: Jake told me I lied about trying not to eat cold cuts. I do try! Just sometimes that's what's there and it's so good. I'll try harder. I craved waffles for breakfast this week, so that's super healthy. :/

Food aversions: No aversions. Maybe I need some aversions so I won't want to eat all the time? Nah...

Mood: Okay, A/C problems will test ones patience. So I might have been a little antsy this weekend with Jake. But we were both just frustrated because it was stinking hot inside! And we were supposed to have family over that night! I jokingly said we were going to start taking up offerings when people come over because our air is pretty much guaranteed to break if we are planning to have people over.

Movement: Lots and lots of movement! I love it!

Milestones: We ordered her dresser for her room, so we will have a place to put things since our showers are coming up in a few weeks. Time is FLYING by! I know they say it will drag at the end, but right now, I'm thinking I'm going to need some more time to get everything done before she gets here!

Best moments of the week: Ordering her dresser. Thanks, GG and Grandaddy! <3

Things I'm looking forward to: Lots of exciting things coming up! Third trimester, decorating her room, baby showers, catching up with old friends that I haven't seen in a while.

Verse I've been dwelling on: "We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power and the wonders he has done." -Psalm 78:4

This past Sunday, Pastor Rocky said "If you're not telling your children of God's love, you're singing the wrong song." I always want Jake and I to keep it in the forefront of our minds to tell Carsen about God's love for her and share with her how His hand has always been at work in our lives. I know He will watch over her and guide her steps just as He has guided ours. And I know He will equip us to raise her and guide her in a Godly way.
